The neighbourhood 'Zeeheldenbuurt' in Tilburg has being revitalized. Goal was to create a more differentiated environment with a central public green area - 'Brink'. Along side this 'Brink' atelier PRO has designed a new multifunctional accommodation, a centre for mental handicapped and three apartment buildings.
The apartment buildings are part of three semi-closed city blocks. Parking is mostly situated in the courtyards of these blocks.
The apartments are orientated towards the green square. The balconies are situated on both sides. To guarantee enough privacy the apartments were set back a bit creating a small garden that is a transitional zone between the pavement and the house.
