Lumion Amsterdam school internationally nominated twice

Lumion Amsterdam has been nominated twice for the international award of World Architecture News (WAN) 2020. atelier PRO's design became a finalist in the category architecture public buildings. The second nomination is for the school interior that atelier PRO designed for this Amsterdam secondary school.

WAN2020 finalist

The architecture covers the renovation of an youn monument building from 1973, (designed by architect Ingwersen) plus a new extension. The new ensemble emphasizes the brutalistic character of the original building and at the same time expresses a contemporary and fresh look. With the inauguration of the renovated school, the liveliness of the surroundings has been revived.

Check the WAN website for more nominated projects.

WIN2020 finalist

Lumion Amsterdam is also nominated as a finalist for the World Interior News (WIN) 2020 Award in the  learning environments category . The design concept of the interior is completely based on the educational vision; Lumion Amsterdam is a school for personalized education. The school is the first partner in the Netherlands of Swedish educational model Kunskapsskolan. Check the WIN website for the other nominated interior projects

Atelier PRO is very happy about these two nominations and is convinced that the architecture and interior design will inspire pupils and teachers to achieve positive development results.
