UCP won three prizes at the Groningen Architecture Prize

Not once, not twice, but three prizes! On Friday, October 4, UCP won the first prize of the public jury, the second prize of the professional jury and the first prize in the online vote for the Groningen Architecture Prize. The prizes were presented to atelier PRO director Dorte Kristensen, Marck Vrieling from Vakwerk Architects and Marion Beldman of the UMGC, during a festive evening at the Former Royal Tobacco Factory Theodorus Niemeyer, at the end of Groningen Architecture Month.

One of the principles of the new psychiatric department at the University Medical Center Groningen is the connection with the outside world, because this contributes strongly to the patient's recovery — which is why we are proud that the design is also appreciated by the residents of the city.

Of course, our congratulations go to Ellen Van Der Wal, director of Vakwerk Architects, our partner in this great project, to all the people who worked at both offices at the UCP, and to all the other award winners. And of course, thanks to everyone who voted for us!
