Headquarters as the keystone of a new area development
One sustainable and central office for IKK Südwest
With this new building, IKK Südwest is making an increase in efficiency and sustainability; in the complex, the organization's various offices, which were previously spread across Saarbrücken, are brought together in one place, while also meeting the highest standards when it comes to sustainable design, construction and operation.
Workplaces around a connecting atrium
The IKK Südwest office consists of a main building with an underground car park, five office floors and an annex, and offers a total of around 1000 workplaces. The office spaces are grouped around an atrium that serves as a connection and reception area. In the west and east wings, two-story communication zones have been created, which are interconnected via a void and form a visual connection between the interior and exterior spaces through large glass surfaces. Opposite the main building is the annex, which mainly serves as office space.
De kantoorruimten zijn gegroepeerd rond een atrium dat als verbinding- en ontvangstruimte dient. In de west- en oostvleugel zijn communicatiezones met twee verdiepingen gecreëerd, die onderling via een vide met elkaar zijn verbonden en door grote glasvlakken een visuele verbinding vormen tussen de binnen- en buitenruimten. Tegenover het hoofdgebouw staat het bijgebouw, dat hoofdzakelijk dienst doet als kantoorruimte.
