The original Willem Naghelstraat has been widened so that the central entrance and exit of the garage seamlessly fit into the street profile. The design of the upper public area was designed with inner-city allure, including space for new greenery and play areas. Much attention has been paid to the difference in character between the surrounding residential streets; the Genestetstraat, Van Renswoudestraat and the wider Willem Naghelstraat.
Together, the entrance and exit of the car park form a spiral ramp. The spiral leads to the lower parking level. From here, the route continues to the top parking level. The two layers have an open and organized structure due to the minimal use of columns and the refreshing play of shades of grey and orange. The floor is light grey, creating a strong contrast with the dark parking surfaces and markings. These lighter zones give pedestrians extra space. The walking routes connect to pedestrian crossings and lead to the central ascent point. The clear routing, spacious parking spaces, neatly finished ceilings, extensive facilities and the special use of colors and materials ensure that the parking garage is of a high level of quality. The main pedestrian entrance consists of a spacious staircase and two spacious elevators. In addition, there are two escape staircases.
Above the garage, there are fifteen spacious patio houses with a clear height of 3.26 m at street level. The first floor is decorated with a patio, which brings extra light into the deep houses. There is a bay window with an open corner on Willem Naghelstraat, giving residents a view of the church towers in the city center. The second floor offers a spacious roof terrace. The houses generally have an entrance on both streets, except for the corner houses, which are unique in shape. All houses also have their own double parking space in the garage.
The houses score very high on sustainability through the use of high-quality insulation, energy-efficient installations and sustainable materials. The average GPR score is 8.2.
